Scrolling capture
Take a scrolling screenshot on your Mac.
macOS can only capture what fits on screen. Opaline captures a long web page, chat or file as you scroll and stitches it into one tall image.
How to take a scrolling screenshot
- Press ⇧⌘7, or open All-In-One with ⇧⌘1 and choose Scrolling.
- Select the part of the window that scrolls.
- Scroll down at your own pace. Opaline stitches each new part onto the image as you go.
- Click Done. The full-length capture appears in Quick Access, ready to copy, save or annotate.
What it’s good for
- Web pages, from landing pages to long articles and receipts.
- Chats in Slack, Messages or Discord, with the whole thread in one image.
- Code and logs that run longer than your editor window.
- Settings and forms you need to document or share with support.
Then mark it up
Scrolling captures open in the same editor as every other capture. Add arrows and numbered steps, blur anything private, then save as PNG or JPEG, or drag the result straight into an email.
